    WZ944’s History

                                                 Used to trials at Christchurch and Boscombe Down.

    February 27th, 1956

                                                 Delivered to the Royal Australian Navy as WZ944                                             (later N4-944). 

                                                                - Arrived on HMAS Melbourne, May 1956.

                                                                - Struck off charge, July 1966.

    September 16th, 1971

                                                Up for disposal at NAS Nowra, NSW.

    1971 - 1989

                                               Pearce Dunn/Warbirds Aviation Museum, Mildura                                             Victoria.

                                                               - Displayed as RAN/WZ944/NW873.

    1989 - 1995

                                               Sanders Aircraft, Chino, CA.

                                                               - Registered as N7022H.

                                                               - Restored to airworthy, 1992-1995.

                                                               - Airworthiness Certificate issued on June 22,                                                              1995.

                                                               - First flight was with Ray Dieckman at the                                                              controls.

    1995 - 2000

                                              Wally Fisk/Amjet Corp., St. Paul, Minn.

                                                               - Polar Aviation Museum, Blain, Minn.

                                                               - Flew in Royal Navy, 809 Squadron, Suez Crisis                                                             colors.

    September 14th, 2000 - 2002

                                            Dave Van Lier/D&J Aviation, Huntington, IN.

    2002 - 2011

                                            Merle Main, Ontario, OR.         

    March 2011

                                           Genesee Warbirds, Batavia, NY.

                                                           - Stayed in Ontario, OR.

    August 19th, 2015

                                          Martin J. Tibbitts, Harper Woods, MI.

                                                           - Aircraft moved from Ontario, OR to Ultimate Aviation 

                                                             in Ogden, UT.

    December 2016

                                          Red Rock Warbirds, St. George, UT.

                                                           - March 2017 aircraft moved to Brigham City, UT.

    January 1st, 2018

                                       Red Rock Warbirds officially became Forgotten Warbirds.
